About the Artwork: This painting is a self portrait of the artist holding herself in her arms. Giving grace to Black women who often struggle with their labels of being the "Angry Black women" when betrayed, or hurt. This acts as an invitation to acknowledge the grudge held towards society while also validating the right to be held and vulnerable even in anger or brokenness.
