Same Shit Different Place

About the Artwork: In reference to Desiree's previous painting "Same Shit Different Day", this work emphasizes the mutual experience Black people, even in the diaspora experience with police and police brutality. The constant need to fight for ourselves peacefully only to be met with violence and even death. This reference was originally from an image taken by Sam Nzima during the Soweto Massacre in 1976.
